Situated in Wilderness heights you find this wooden cabin perched on the hill with a breathtaking view of the bold Outeniqua mountains. Amongst the natural fynbos and indigenous plants we hear the bees buzzing and birds tweeting all around.
After a short stroll through the dense bush your eyes are first set on the back of the wood cladded cabin incorporating funky windows. As you walk around to the the front deck you are graced by the view and nature all around. With two deck chairs and an umbrella to sit outside and take it all in. This is also home to the outdoor hot water shower located on the front deck to immerse yourself in nature. Entering the cabin you have big glass french doors which can be opened allowing the indoor outdoor flow , or if bad weather one can still enjoy the outside scenes through them along with the funky shaped windows all throughout the cabin. Looking through any windows you will have a picturesque scene. Inside the cabin you have a double bed with a couch in front facing the mountains. As well as a small Kitchenette area perfect to cook up delicious meals for two.
Built by the owners themselves living off-grid, meaning this property runs off the suns energy using solar panels to charge gadgets and power lights. The kitchen is equipped with gas appliances. Lastly you’ll find your eco friendly toilet outside in a shelter of its own, this is a composting toilet to save water, with a wash basin on your way back to the cabin.
You can wander this property with a hike down to the river below through forest, check out their garden or take a short 5 minute drive to Map of Africa. This is a great spot for paragliding, we took a flight with Let Fly Paragling and wow it is truly an experience I would recommend! Soaring down over the sea feeling like a bird yourself. Map of Africa is a lookout point over the valley onto the Outeniqua mountains, it is said you can spot the shape of Africa. With a coffee show down the road perfect for us coffee lovers!
